The story of Regan
Regan developed Ligneous Conjunctivis at the age of 4. After 10 months of searching for answers Regan was diagnosed with Congenital Plasminogen Deficiency, Type 1 when she was 5. We were fortunate to find the only clinical trial being conducted in the US for the treatment of this disease. 4 months after her diagnosis she was accepted into the clinical trial. Despite having multi organ systemic involvement the IV treatment she receives every 3 days has kept her disease in a dormant state for almost 2 yrs now! At this time we are anxiously awaiting FDA approval. Throughout all she has endured at such a young age Regan has never stopped smiling or living life to the fullest!
