The story of Erica
I was diagnosed with IIH on August 31, 2016. My vision quickly deteriorated and I had a VP shunt installed on November 9, 2016. Since that time, there have been headaches, vision issues, and debilitating stomach pains due to the tubing getting tangled in my pelvis. All of which I will live with as I live with IIH. Doctors are at a loss and need better options and answers for this disease. They don’t know what causes it — they don’t have a cure. Awareness and research are so important.
