The story of Isabella
Isabella was born 12.27.07 with a rare chromosome disorder Xq28 deletion and many anomalies. Cognitively, she’s like a 3 yr old. Isabella has overcome many obstacles in her 7 yrs of life. On 09.27.13, Isabella was diagnosed with a rare cancer known as rhabdomyosarcoma. The tumor was in her nasal cavity and throat area, it impeded her breathing ability so Isabella had a tracheotomy to help protect her airway. She’s undergone aggressive chemotherapy and has completed 28 radiation treatments . The tumor remains in her nasal pharyngeal cavity with stable disease. We live one day at a time and are very blessed to have Isabella each day we are given.
