Life with LEMS

The story of Donna

Four years ago, I was a healthy happy wife and mother of 2, working full time in a factory. It seems like a blink of an eye, but it was a long 2 years to figure out how that all changed. I started getting weaker, my eyes wouldn’t work right, my teeth began to fall apart, and I ended up in a wheelchair. Several doctors and tons of tests later, I learned I had Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome. It has been 2 years, and with medicine, I have regained about 75% function. LEMS affects less than 1 in a million. I always knew I was special!!!
