About Fondazione Ricerca Fibrosi Cistica (FFC)
The Italian Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation (Fondazione Ricerca Fibrosi Cistica – FFC) is a non-profit organization whose 3 main goals are: promoting and funding scientific research on Cystic Fibrosis (CF); mentoring and educating young researchers and healthcare professionals; heightening awareness regarding CF among the population. FFC funds a limited number of research projects that have the ultimate aim to improve the health status of CF patients. Until today it has financed more than 400 research projects, investing over 30 million Euro over the years, collaborating with 250 research institutes and engaging a network of around 1000 researchers. More than 140 groups gathering over 10,000 volunteers on the Italian territory, including people with CF, their families and friends, help FFC to raise both awareness and funds.
