About Hope Floats Foundation
This year, we have challenged ourselves to make a positive difference to help a 2 year old girl from Maraval with a rare genetic disorder and hope to provide her medication and various types of therapy required.
Amara was diagnosed with 11q Terminal Deletion Syndrome also known as Jacobsen Syndrome at the Geisinger – Bucknell Autism and Developmental Medicine Institute in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania in 2016. This was preceded by numerous incorrect diagnosis, numerous visits to the ER and long days and nights on the Just Because Foundation ward of Wendy Fitzwilliam Children’s Hospital, Mt. Hope.
