About Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children
Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children and Delaware HOSA-Future Health Professionals, are partnering for the 3rd Annual Rare Disease Day Student Research Event. Nemours Biomedical Research pairs researchers, clinicians, nurses and other allied health professionals with HOSA high school students to research a rare disease that is seen and treated at Nemours.
HOSA members research the rare disease and interview the clinicians, researchers, and family members of children with a rare disease. Once the research is complete, HOSA members create a display with information about the rare disease and present to Nemours Associates, families, judges and more, on National Rare Disease Day. The event is held in the beautiful Anthony F. Fusco Atrium of the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children from 9:30a – 2:00p. The displays are judged by an esteemed group of researchers and administrators, and HOSA students are awarded for the content of their displays and presentations. The awards will be presented at 1:30p.
