About Retina Uganda
ORGANISATION ACTIVITIES OF RETINA UGANDA
Retina Uganda is a nonprofit organisation that was created in 2014. It is founded by Gilbert Muhumuza together with Martin Sebalu and Isabella Namanya as Cofounders. It was created to give hope to the visually impaired.
The organisation’s vision is to create a bias free environment for the visually impaired. The organisation’s activities include; creating and promoting awareness, advocacy and positive living for the blind, provision of vocational skills and computer usage skills to have access to information as well as earning a living for themselves rather depending on others, encouraging the visually impaired to get involved in sports like swimming and lastly, mobilising funds for the legally blind.
At Retina Uganda, we believe that the visually impaired have a right to live a normal and healthy life like everyone else as they have a lot to offer towards the society.
