About L2AME (lutte contre la Leucémie Aigue et l’Aplasie Médullaire chez l’Enfant)
Created in November 2015, L2AME aims to help young leukemics and aplastics at the Hopital des Enfants Tsaralalana Antananarivo Madagascar in their fights, within a strong partnership with the medical staff of the Oncology Department.
Our first actions were to search donnors from our frienda and families, nd provide bloods and 1/10 of medications for 25 leukemics and three aplastics of this department. We have also celebrate christmas with “Betakolaka” (big cheeks, due to corticosteroids drugs), with the participation of a national famous clown, three local medias, one holding and more tha 100 private donnors.
We have poor experiences and means, but the case of those children are more deplorable: rupture of medication, lack of respiratory equipment, delays of analysis because of lack of money, insufficient immunity conditions…
L2AME vows to be the voice for those weak patients and families, and speak loud about their cases to decision makers, donnors, civile society, international community, and all people over the world.
